My reviews:
Here you can read my very unimportant small comments on the things I want to talk about but have no one to talk about to.
Don't expect anything deep, I'm just going to make really brief comments.
Some will have the Mimi Seal of Quality ★ , wich means
not only that it's good quality, but it also resonated with me in any particular way.
I also have this little icon for re-watchs ↺ ,
and another one for things I didn't really like / dropped × .

2026
• Night Is Short, Walk On Girl - (05/03/2026)
Really enjoyed the kinda surreal events on this seemingly endless night.
Very eccentric characters. It kinda reminded me to The Little Prince for some reason.
I liked it's message about interconnection.
Yuasa visuals astounding as usual. Also, hearing Kana Hanazawa and Hiroshi Kamiya makes me happy.
It cheered me up.
• Peep “TV” Show - (04/03/2026)
A movie from 2003 made a pretty good description of how the internet messes up your head sometimes. Still holds up 23 years later.
Really original visuals, like recorded on surveillance cameras.
Cute lolita outfits. And even cuter computers.
• Shibou Yuugi de Meshi wo Kuu. - (03/03/2026)
I gave this one a chance because I liked the way it's directed. It's very original.
The problem is that the death games are not that interesting, and the overarching story is kind of non existent.
The things that make these kind of stories interesting are original games and good character drama, and I found neither.
• Our Little Sister - (02/03/2026)
The best way to describe this movie is that it's like a slice of life live action movie.
There are no big plot points; it's just people living life, dealing with their circumstances.
I liked the dinamic between the sisters. Their personalities match really well.
I probably should watch more live action stuff.
• Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi o Suru [Seasons 1 & 2] - (03/02/2026)
These two are such cutie pies.
It's always cool having passionate characters in a story. Everyone in here is passionate about something, and I like that.
I wasn't expecting Marin to be such an otaku, but she is so so real. Also Gojo has the kindest soul, he is so considerate and caring, and he is so skilled too. I would fall in love with him too.
• My Girl - (03/02/2026)
What a bittersweet story.
It was full of many different kinds of love. And plenty of grief too.
There were lots of endearing moments between Koharu and Masamune, and everyone else too.
The art was incredibly pretty.
I cried.
• Manga in Theory and Practice: The Craft of Creating Manga - (02/02/2026)
A really interesting dive into what it takes to make manga.
In this book Araki explains the different pillars that build his manga and stories. He also talks about his experience in the industry, and you can see cool things that happen behind the scenes.
The focus is shonen manga, but I think many ideas can be extrapolated to other mediums and genres.
• Chainsaw Man [Part 1] - (25/01/2026)
Probably one of the best things to ever come out of battle shonen manga.
The tone is rowdy and irreverent but underneath there is a great degree of sensitivity and heart. The story is very blunt; people just die, and the survivors have to deal with it.
I love how Fujimoto writes his characters. I loved Denji and how he looks for purpose and genuine human connections, but he doesn't really understand what he's looking for. His relationship with Power was very sweet.
The art was great as usual. The style is so characteristic.
• Chou Kaguya-hime! - (24/01/2026)
Kaguya-hime but with vtubers, idols and vr moba games. It does a solid job at portraying modern otaku vtuber/idol culture.
While watching it at first I thought it was just a cute little movie, but the last hour was really good. Kinda spoilery but I was surprised seeing yuri that doesn't barely hide behind subtext.
The animation was amazing, and I loved the in-game character designs. It was nice hearing World is mine and Melt. Also, Beat Saber mentioned (3 seconds reference).
• Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26 - (20/01/2026)
After Fire Punch, I wanted more from this man. This anthology of short stories is really cool; some were not as good as others, but pretty crazy stuff as usual.
My favorites were:
- Woke up as a girl syndrome
- Sisters
- Shikaku
- Nayuta of the prophecy
This guy really likes little sisters.
• Fire Punch - (18/01/2026)
Even if life sucks, maybe you should just keep on living. Something good might happen.
This story has left me speechless. The premise is incredibly original and totally insane. Fujimoto just knows how to make the most of it, asking deep questions along the way. The art is incredible as usual.
I wasn't expecting cinema to have such an important role in the story, but I really enjoyed its presence throughout. I loved Togata too.
2025
• Planetarian ~Chiisana Hoshi no Yume~ - (28/12/2025)
Really short read, but really emotive.
I liked the contrast between the cruelty of the real world, and the almost romantic worldview of Yumemi, a remnant of a distant past. She is really endearing.
It left me feeling that even in such a dark reality there is still room for hope.
• Oniichan wa Oshimai! - (09/11/2025)
I don't know why, but I love these kinds of stories in which the main character begins to make new friends and they all have fun together, after having been alone for a long time. They feel full of hope.
Also I really liked the gender bend dynamic. It was really cute seeing Mahiro start feeling more and more confortable with her (his?) feminine side.
Over all it was a really enjoyable watch. You can feel the studio's passion on each chapter (maybe too much booba tho).
• Tsui no Sora - (17/09/2025)
The novel starts really strong. The premise makes you ask a ton of questions, and the presentation is super mysterious, especially with that eye looking at you.
It has great ideas and some strong routes, but in the end some things felt unresolved, and some scenes are just bad.
Either way, it was a good read.
• MAHOUTEQ! - (13/09/2025)
Really short visual novel about an unemployed girl who gets a job to buy an expensive anime figure.
Pretty short story but really charming. The visual presentation is so cool (the art is literally made in MS Paint lol), and there were some cool music tracks too.
It's a cute little vn for anyone that likes magical girls.
• Genshiken - (12/09/2025)
I had a lot of fun reading this manga. It's a slice of life story centered around otaku culture. The character chemistry is great, I enjoyed reading their back-and-forth conversations a lot.
I liked how it talks about accepting yourself and eachother. I also really liked the way the series handles romantic relationships, they feel so natural.
I know there's a second part to this manga, but it's been a while since I was this sad about finishing a story and leaving the characters behind...
• Alien 9 - (23/08/2025)
Yuri please don't cry anymore, you'll break my heart...
Started watching on a whim because I tought the character design was cute. I was really surprised with the way it tells it's story, specially the dream scenes, they were so so good.
Kinda sad that the OVA doesn't adapt the full story, so I gess I'll read the manga.
• Saya no uta - (17/08/2025)
Unsetling, but the atmosphere grabs you and doesn't let you look away.
I'll probably have to read it again to fully grasp it.
The backgrounds were great.
Will be listening to some of the tracks.
• Sangatsu no lion - (15/08/2025)
Beautiful story about letting yourself depend on others.
A story filled with hope. Lots of lovable characters. The relationship between Rei and the Kawamoto family was super sweet.
Got me interested in shogi.
Maybe in the future we will get a season 3...
• Gunbuster && Diebuster - (02/03/2025)
オカエリナサイ
Really cool to see the differences on style from these giant directors.
Noriko is great at aura farming.
Both of the endings were really special, glad I could experience this blind.
The ost has some really majestic tracks.
